Invisalign Miramar

What is Invisalign?

Invisalign treatment utilizes clear aligner trays that are custom-made to fit over your top and bottom row of teeth. These aligners exert constant yet gentle pressure on your teeth to shift them into a healthier position.

You’ll return to see your dentist every few weeks to receive a new set of aligners to ensure that your progress is continual.

Here at our Miramar dental clinic, we use a handheld iTero scanner to make your aligners. The scanner generates digital photos of the structures of your teeth and gums which allows us to create dental trays that fit you perfectly and don’t slip out of place.

Many benefits come with receiving Invisalign, including:

  • They can treat a wide range of dental issues such as problems with your bite, crooked teeth, and gaps in your smile.
  • They’re removable. Your trays are meant to be removed when you eat and drink, so you don’t have to worry about avoiding certain foods like you would with traditional braces.
  • They’re comfortable. The clear aligner trays are made from plastic and won’t irritate your gums.
  • They’re easy to clean.
  • This treatment will help improve the function of your teeth and your oral health.
  • It’ll boost your self-confidence!

Receiving Invisalign in Miramar

Receiving Invisalign will take at least two appointments. The first visit will consist of a dental evaluation and x-rays. Then, your dentist will take impressions of your teeth which are sent to the dental lab so your trays can be created. They’ll also outline the course of your treatment. Keep in mind that, the duration of treatment is dependent on your specific case and the issues that need to be corrected.

Once your aligner trays are made, you’ll return to receive them. Every four to six weeks or so, you’ll return to your dentist to receive a new set.
