Receiving Dentures Near You
Receiving dentures usually requires a couple of appointments.
During your first visit, your dentist will thoroughly evaluate your mouth and may take a series of dental x-rays in order to establish a baseline of your oral health and the extent of care that is needed. They may also clean your mouth because plaque and tartar can pose a problem regarding denture adhesion. A mold will be made of your teeth and mouth, which is used to fabricate your dentures.
Once your customized dentures are ready, you’ll return to receive them. Your dentist will make sure they fit you properly and make any necessary adjustments.
It may feel a bit strange at first, but there’s no need to worry; you’ll adjust to your dentures in no time. Since dentures function like ordinary teeth, you’ll be able to go about your days as you usually would. Additionally, making sure to keep your dentures clean will help them last longer.
